How does
it work?
You
authorize the claim and submit it,
along with a cheque for the cost of
treatment plus fees and taxes, to
Accerta. It’s a tax deduction for
the company and a tax-free benefit
in the hands of the employee (except
in Quebec.) It’s that simple.
Example:
Your office manager has earned a $5,000
bonus.She has a child that needs $2,000
worth of orthodontic treatment this
year. You can give her a raise or
pay her a bonus of $5,000 and she
can pay for the treatment out of after-tax
dollars. Or, you can flow the $2,000
to her through AccertaChoice Plus
or AccertaFlex.
Results:
With Accerta you get a deduction for
the whole amount... salary, bonus
plus plan contribution. And, by reducing
cash compensation, you may save money
on C.P.P., E.I., Employer Health Tax,
Workers’ Compensation premiums and
other payroll taxes. Because your
employee doesn’t pay income tax on
the benefit plan contribution, she
cuts her income tax payment nearly
in half. The treatment is paid for,
and she ends up with nearly twice
as much money in her pocket at the
end of the day.
Everyone
has uncovered medical expenses. Why
make your employees pay for them with
after-tax dollars?
